Job summary

Quest Food Management Services is hiring Culinary Associates for Deerfield, IL. Join a school food service team with a schedule that offers summers off and no nights, weekends, or holidays. Both full-time and part-time roles are available, with opportunities for raises and benefits for eligible staff.

You will help run a smooth kitchen, prepare meals, follow recipes and prep lists, and support catering and bulk food preparation while delivering friendly, quality service to students and guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen or food service environment.
• Ability to prepare and serve meals meeting quality standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and daily prep lists.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items for cafeteria service.
• Follow daily preparation lists and recipes to support menu execution.
• Assist with bulk food preparation and catering preparation.
• Prepare cold items, salads, and grab-and-go offerings.
• Serve guests on the hot food line in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist customers and keep serving lines clean, organized, and well maintained.
• Receive kitchen deliveries and properly store products and supplies.
• Support kitchen cleaning and day-to-day operational needs.
• Follow HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and Quest standards.

What You’ll Do

As a Culinary Associate you’ll help keep our kitchen running smoothly while preparing and serving fresh, quality meals that meet Quest standards. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and presenting menu items for cafeteria service

Following daily preparation lists and recipes to support menu execution

Assisting with bulk food preparation and catering preparation

Preparing cold items, salads, and grab-and-go offerings

Serving guests on the hot food line in a friendly and professional manner

Assisting customers and keeping serving lines clean, organized, and well maintained

Receiving kitchen deliveries and properly putting away products and supplies

Supporting kitchen cleaning and day-to-day operational needs

Following all HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and Quest standards
