Job summary

Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND is seeking a part-time Culinary Assistant / Server for 4:30pm–8:30pm shifts, including alternating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include serving meals, maintaining sanitary conditions, coordinating with the Nutrition and Culinary Services team, and helping with dishwashing and light food prep as assigned. This role also involves on-site work with a compassionate team in a senior-care setting.

• Offers and serves menu choices to residents in a cheerful and respectful manner.
• Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals as well as other assigned cleaning duties.
• Operates equipment in a proper, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner.
• Prepares various menu items as assigned by the Nutrition and Culinary Director (Coordinator) and/or Culinary Cook.
• Monitors daily menu items in order to verify that all necessary items are prepared and labeled.
• Stores leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards.
• Organizes and plans work schedule to meet times for serving.
• Operates dish machine according to directions. Pre-soaks and sorts dishes and utensils.
• Assists in accepting vendor deliveries and storing items in the proper areas.

Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND is seeking a Culinary Assistant / Server to work part time 430p - 830p. Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation.
The Culinary Assistant / Server provides meal service to residents/tenants under sanitary conditions and in a respectful, timely manner by communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to carry out the operations of the Nutrition and Culinary Services department.

Essential Functions

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in food service is preferred, but not required.

Compensation

At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $16-17.92 for Culinary Assistants per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
