Job Type: Part-Time positions available; Afternoon & Weekend Shifts Available

Pay Rate:Starting at $15.00 hourly depending on experience

Summary:

In this role, you will assist residents with patience and a friendly smile, performing table service in a caring, professional, and timely manner. You will help with all dining needs, set up and clean the dining area, and observe residents' responses to ensure they receive appropriate service. Teamwork and collaboration among staff are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Assist in food preparation according to the established menu.
  2. Follow departmental procedures including sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
  3. Properly wash and store all dishes.
  4. Serve and assist residents during meals.
  5. Clean kitchen, food service equipment, and storage areas daily.
  6. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents.
  7. Perform daily cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining room.
  8. Support a dignified and caring atmosphere.
  9. Respond promptly and courteously to residents' and families' requests.
  10. Communicate effectively in a language residents understand.
  11. Maintain a safe environment, practicing good body mechanics and safe habits.
  12. Report safety hazards immediately.
  13. Follow policies and procedures in emergencies.
  14. Work collaboratively with staff and management.
  15. Maintain a positive attitude towards work, policies, residents, and visitors.
  16. Adhere to attendance policies.
  17. Participate in training and meetings.
  18. Dress appropriately per dress code.
  19. Refer resident care inquiries to supervisors.
  20. Follow HIPAA regulations.
  21. Assist in training new staff in dining services.
  22. Take initiative, seek information, and suggest improvements.
  23. Perform additional projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively in simple instructions and small group settings.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve straightforward problems.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred; less than one year of related experience or training acceptable; or equivalent combination.

Physical Demands:

Must regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear; frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally sit and climb; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
