Qualifications

• One-year experience as a Food Service Worker, or extensive related food preparation experience.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions, read recipes, and interpret weight/measure symbols.
• Neat and clean appearance.
• Ability to perform tasks with speed and efficiency.
• Basic mechanical ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Formulating simple standardized recipes under supervision, following food safety standards.
• Observing maximum safety precautions for wet floors, cutting/slicing/chopping equipment, ovens and stoves.
• Disassembling, cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen equipment; maintaining a sanitary work area.
• Performing basic equipment maintenance and reporting malfunctions to supervisor.
• Practicing proper food handling to reduce foodborne illness.
