Responsibilities

• Assist cooks in preparing meals, setting up and serving trays, and maintaining the dining area and kitchen.
• Prep and cover desserts, pour beverages, and set up tables and trays.
• Read tray cards to ensure correct beverages and desserts are served with meals.
• Wash, sanitize dishes and cooking utensils; keep work areas clean.
• Relieve the cook on tasks such as fruit prep and making toast.

Summary

Sets up kitchen areas and assists in preparing, serving, and clean up of meals items for The Orchards by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance to cooks in the preparation of meal services, including setting tables, setting up and serving trays, pouring beverages, and cleaning the dietary area and dining room.
• Assist cook in prepping and covering desserts
• Pour and cover beverages.
• Set up trays and tables
• Help serve and clear trays and tables.
• Read and interpret tray cards so that proper beverages and desserts are put on each tray.
• Clean worktables and refrigerator; sweep and mop floors.
• Attend and stir foods during the cooking process to prevent burning.
• Wash and Sanitize dishes, cooking utensils, and work areas
• Relieve the cook of duties such as preparing fruits and vegetables and making toast and beverages.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED
