Job summary

The Orchards of Saxonburg in Saxonburg, PA is seeking extraordinary CNAs to support residents with compassionate care. The CNA will assist with daily living activities, document care, and participate in activities while maintaining safety and comfort.

We offer a sign-on bonus and shift differentials, with full-time and part-time opportunities. Training is provided, including online options for those not yet certified.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CNA certification through approved curriculum is required.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
• Able to stay calm and act appropriately in emergencies.
• Willingness to participate in online training or courses.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care and services as defined by care plans, including ADL assistance, mobility, positioning and feeding.
• Perform rounds every two hours to monitor residents.
• Record temperatures, pulse, respiration, intake and output as directed.
• Assist with resident activities and participate in activities program.
• Document care provided using approved methods and report condition changes to charge nurse.

Summary

Under the direction of the nursing staff, the CNA cares for residents at The Orchards while keeping them safe and comfortable during their activities of daily living by performing the following duties.

Teamwork with the following and all other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides care and services to residents as defined by individualized care plans. Care and services include, but are not limited to: ADL assistance, mobility assistance, positioning assistance and feeding assistance.
• Performs random rounds on each resident every two hours, starting upon arrival and finishing just prior to the end of the shift.
• Takes and records temperature, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Participates in resident activity program.
• Documents care provided to residents using approved documentation method.
• Reports any change in resident condition to the charge nurse immediately.
