The Sanctuary of West St Paul is seeking a Server/Culinary Assistant to provide dining room meal service for residents and maintain kitchenette supplies in West St Paul, MN. This casual/on-call role includes day/evening/night shifts and every other weekend, with opportunities to engage residents and support a compassionate care environment.

The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and friendly resident interaction, using the EMenu system and restaurant-style service to ensure high-quality dining

• Serves meals and maintains a clean, inviting dining area.
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and accommodates dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Keeps dining area clean per schedule.
• Sets up dining room correctly.
• Learns and uses EMenu System and restaurant-style service.
• Ensures dishes and utensils are washed and stored properly.
• Promotes positive resident relations and satisfaction.
• Welcomes residents and assists with substitutions and seating requests.
• Listens to complaints and refers issues to leadership.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Server/Culinary Assistant to join our team! This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our senior residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Assisted Living Community in West St Paul, MN. This nutrition services schedule includes;

• Casual/On-call schedule
• Day/Evening/Night schedule
• Every other weekend

We are conveniently located near Interstate 494 and Highway 52 and public transportation in West St. Paul, MN.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
