Job summary

Ebenezer West St Paul seeks a Server/Culinary Assistant to provide dining room meal service for our senior residents and maintain kitchenettes in our Assisted Living community in West St Paul, MN. The role involves following a set meal schedule, assisting with front-of-house service, and ensuring proper sanitation and cleanliness.

The position supports residents with meal options and dietary needs, with day/evening/night 4-hour shifts and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience required.
• Preferred: High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting.
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
• Ensures all dishes and utensils are washed and stored before end of shift.
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation; accommodates requests and assists with substitutions.

We are looking for a Server/Culinary Assistant to join our team! This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our senior residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Assisted Living Community in West St Paul, MN. This nutrition services schedule includes:

• 8 hours per pay period
• Day/Evening/Night schedule (4 hour shifts)
• Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
