Description
This position is responsible for assisting in culinary lab classes. Duties include assisting students, food preparation, participating in dining services, organizing food purchasing requisitions, and other duties assigned by the lead instructors.
Job Duties
- Assist with teaching and assisting culinary lab classes as assigned by the academic dean
- Prepare, organize, and clean up the lab space
- Food preparation in accordance with the lead instructor
- Organize and participate in food service events
- Create and organize food purchasing requisitions
- Promote, develop, and deliver quality education programs to retain students through graduation
- Demonstrate IWCC’s core mission, vision, and values
- Meet minimum expectations for the college Learning Management System (post syllabus, record attendance, maintain gradebook) and reports (roster verification, progress reports, final grades, assessments)
- Assist with labs as assigned by the academic dean
- Complete required professional development and training
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, contributing to a productive work environment
- Promote, model, and enforce academic integrity
- Be available to answer student questions during class
- Help students achieve educational and career goals
- Refer students to college resources
- Maintain confidentiality per FERPA and Title IX
- Follow safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse groups
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Physical Demands
