Job summary

BJU, Inc. in Greenville, SC is seeking a part-time Culinary Lab Assistant to support the daily maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation of the Culinary Arts Lab. You may assist with food preparation and production, and there are opportunities to help with dining events.

Proper footwear (black closed-toe, slip-resistant) is required. Shifts run Monday through Friday from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm, with additional event shifts possible.

Qualifications

• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to stand/work physically for long periods of time (events).
• Average shifts are 3 to 5 hours long.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Interview with Chef Instructor required.

Responsibilities

• Completing daily checklists issued by Chef Instructor
• Scaling, preparing and occasional cooking of food items
• Managing food in dry storage and refrigerators
• Comprehensive floor and equipment cleaning and sanitizing.
• Available shifts M-F 5:30 pm to 10 pm.
• Additional shift opportunities for events (not required).
