Job summary

Johnson & Wales University in Providence seeks an adjunct faculty member to deliver culinary arts coursework on campus and online. You will prepare materials, grade work, and provide timely feedback to students.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's in culinary arts, with three+ years of industry experience; a Master's in education is a plus. This is an as-needed adjunct role for the academic year, requiring residence within commuting distance of the Providence Campus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field.
Three or more years of industry experience.
Adjunct faculty teaching in university setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned course(s) on campus by delivering course content and preparing materials.
Teach online using the university's LMS according to outlines and standards.
Maintain course sites, grade center, and timely feedback to students.
Maintain accurate attendance and academic achievement records.
Distribute syllabus with objectives, materials, attendance policy, and evaluation criteria.
Communicate with students, department chair, and counselors as needed.
Refer students to campus resources for support.
Update faculty information system with teaching credentials.
