Job summary

The American Senior Communities East Lake campus in Indiana is hiring a full-time Culinary Aide to support residents with nutritious meals and a clean dining environment. You will assist with meal prep, portions, service, and maintaining equipment and work areas. Strong customer service and teamwork in a care setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Required: Commitment to customer service
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with the culinary team and leaders
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling Certification
• Preferred: Prior restaurant server experience

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to best meet the needs of residents to provide a positive dining experience
• Assist in the preparation and portions of meal items according to the menu and resident diet requirements
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes
• Cleans equipment as needed, maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace
