Job summary

East Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Elkhart, IN is seeking a dedicated Culinary Aide to join our food service team. This full-time role supports meal prep, portioning, tray setup, and service while maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining area.

You will collaborate with culinary leaders to meet resident diets, assist with dishwashing, and help uphold our CARE values. A sanitation certification is preferred, but commitment to customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Commitment to customer service and resident satisfaction.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with culinary team.
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification (may be earned post-employment).

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to meet residents' dining needs and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Assist in meal preparation and portioning according to menus and diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
