Job summary

American Senior Communities in Evansville, IN is seeking a Culinary Aide to support meal prep, service and a sanitary kitchen. You will partner with culinary leaders to meet resident needs and contribute to safe, nutritious meals.

This role involves tray setup, dishwashing and working with the culinary team, with potential sanitation certification and growth within ASC's care-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling preferred, unless required by state and federal agencies. Certifications can be earned while employed with ASC.
• Commitment to customer service.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and effectively work alongside culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to best meet the needs of residents to provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist in the preparation and portions of meal items according to the menu and resident diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Cleans equipment as needed, maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.
