Job summary

American Senior Communities in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Culinary Aide to assist with meal prep, service, and maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area. This full-time role features rotating shifts and a focus on safe, nutritious meals for residents.

You will work with culinary leaders to meet residents' needs, prepare meals according to menus and diets, and help with trays, service, and sanitation. Prior server experience and sanitation certification preferred; commitment to customer

Qualifications

• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling is preferred (may be earned after joining ASC).
• Prior restaurant server experience preferred.
• Commitment to customer service is required.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and work collaboratively with the culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to meet residents’ dining needs and provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist in the preparation and portions of meal items according to the menu and resident diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workplace by cleaning equipment as needed.
