Job summary

American Senior Communities in Lafayette, IN is seeking a part-time Culinary Server to support our residents with safe, nutritious meals and a positive dining experience.

As a Culinary Aide on the ASC team, you will assist with meal preparation, portioning, tray setup, and service, while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required, with day and evening opportunities.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling, unless required by state and federal agencies.
• Required: Commitment to customer service
• Required: Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with the culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to best meet the needs of residents to provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist in the preparation and portions of meal items according to the menu and resident diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Cleans equipment as needed, maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.
