Job summary

Manor Lake Horizon in Hoschton, GA seeks a dedicated dietary aide to assist in the preparation, service and delivery of meals and snacks for residents. You will follow portion control, assist with cleaning, and ensure menu and diet accuracy for each tray.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Background screening is required by applicable law.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, empathy, patience, and effective interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, service and delivery of meals and snacks.
• Use portion control procedures when preparing and serving meals.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties including work areas, tables, appliances and floors.
• Complete required training, including serving alcohol in accordance with regulations.
• Conduct yourself professionally and contribute to a service-oriented environment with residents, families, visitors and colleagues.
• Assist in dish and utensil washing and cleaning and store items properly.
• Distribute and collect menus and verify trays for menu and diet accuracy.
• Follow sanitary, safety and infection control policies.
• Treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect.
• Report resident complaints to Culinary/Executive Director.
• Dispose of food and waste per policies.
• Handle infectious waste and bodily fluids with appropriate safety gear.
• Ensure proper storage of raw and leftover foods and obtain supplies for next meals.
• Report hazardous conditions or incidents to leadership promptly.
• Assist Culinary Director and follow dietary procedures as required.
• Perform any other tasks requested by Culinary Director or Executive Director.
