Job summary

Manor Lake Hamilton Mill is seeking a dietary aide to assist in meal prep, service and delivery for residents. You will follow portion-control procedures and help maintain cleanliness and safe operating standards in the dining and kitchen areas.

Responsibilities include distributing menus, checking trays for diet accuracy, and reporting concerns to the Food Service Director while upholding residents’ rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Patience, tact and a positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Must have upper body strength to move items over 25 pounds.
• Able to squat, reach and stretch without distress; tolerate long walking/standing.
• Comply with safety, infection control and dietary procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, service and delivery of meals and snacks.
• Ensure portion control during meal service.
• Help with cleaning duties and dish/utensil washing.
• Distribute menus and verify trays match diet preferences.
• Follow sanitary, safety and infection control policies.
• Maintain residents' confidentiality and dignity.
• Report resident complaints to Food Service Director.
