Job summary

Avamere Health Services of Rogue Valley is seeking a part-time Culinary Aide in Medford, OR. You will prepare and serve meals, ensure dietary needs are met, and maintain kitchen cleanliness under the Culinary Services Manager's supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with tray service, sanitation, inventory, and compliance with health regulations. Prior experience with food service and a current Food Handler card is preferred.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail important for tray setup, portion control, and sanitizing.
• Knowledge of high standards of sanitation and safety in food service.
• Maintain personal hygiene and hair restraints while working.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with staff across departments.
• Ability to learn and operate kitchen equipment.
• CPR/BLS certification must be current and maintained.
• Food handler card issued by local Health Department required.

Responsibilities

• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve meals on trays at proper time, at correct temperature. May assist with prep.
• Check completed trays for accuracy and place on cart.
• Fills nourishment orders between meals.
• Assist with cleaning of work areas, equipment, dishes and floors.
• Follow facility regulations for sanitation, safety and infection control.
• Attend orientation, training and in-service education.
• Assist with inventorying and storing foods, supplies and equipment.
