Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living is hiring a part-time Culinary Aide at Avamere Eugene. You will prepare and serve meals for residents, ensure proper food handling, and assist in maintaining a clean kitchen under supervision of the Culinary Services Manager.

Responsibilities include tray assembly, portion control, stocking nourishments, and adhering to safety and sanitary regulations in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail when setting up trays and maintaining portion control.
• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintaining high personal hygiene standards while working.
• Interpersonal skills to work with other departments and staff.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• Must possess CPR/BLS certification and maintain it during employment.
• Current Food Handler card issued by local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and regulations in long-term care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature; may assist with prep.
• Examine completed trays for accuracy and place on the cart.
• Fill orders for between-meal nourishments as assigned.
• Assist in daily cleaning of work areas, equipment, dishware, and floors.
• Follow facility and state/federal safety, sanitation, and infection-control policies.
• Attend orientation, training, and in-service educational activities.
• Assist with inventorying and storing incoming foods, supplies, and equipment.
