Job summary

Koelsch Communities is seeking a personable Culinary Aide for our Jefferson House memory care facility. This full-time role supports the Culinary Department, provides meal service, buses tables, and maintains dining room cleanliness.

Day shift on Sundays to Wednesdays, 9 AM to 6 PM, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities. A food handler's card is required, and you must be able to lift 15 pounds and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Positive interpersonal skills are required.
• A food handler's card is required.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds.
• Customer service experience.
• Must be drug free and submit to drug screening upon hire and routinely.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room tables and ensure dining room cleanliness.
• Protect establishments and residents by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Assist residents select food and beverages by presenting menu, making suggestions and explaining chefs’ daily specials.
• Bus dirty dishes and refill residents’ beverages as needed.
• Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner.
• Adhere to grooming and presentation standards consistently, maintain clean uniform at all times.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
