Job summary

Koelsch Communities in Modesto, California is seeking a skilled Cook for our memory care culinary team. This full-time role offers an evening schedule Thursday through Sunday, 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM, with pay between $18 and $21 per hour depending on experience.

You will prepare nutritious, appetizing meals, store and rotate food per guidelines, and keep the kitchen safe and clean, following the department’s schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved Dietary Manager's Course or possess a ServSafe Food Handler's certificate.
• All requirements related to the food handlers’ certificate per state requirements.
• Knowledge of food preparation, production and plate presentation.
• Must be drug-free and submit to a drug screening upon hire and routinely.
• Must pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.
• Knowledge of special dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food is prepared in a nutritional, appetizing fashion, and presented per the menu and schedule.
• Properly store, date, and rotate food per food handling guidelines.
• Keep the environment safe and clean.
• Follow kitchen cleaning schedule.
