Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare is seeking a Culinary Aide to assist with the preparation and service of meals for residents and staff. You will follow food safety standards, portion controls, and maintain cleanliness while contributing to a warm dining experience.

The role emphasizes adherence to schedules, accurate food temperatures, and teamwork across the Nursing Center. High school diploma preferred; a Food Handlers Permit may be required; prior long-term care food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets, employees and special events.
• Prepares and/or portions food using proper safety techniques.
• Ensures meals are served attractively and on time.
• Uses standardized recipes to prepare menu items.
• Maintains proper refrigerator/freezer temperatures and logs.
• Keeps work area clean and uncluttered; performs cleaning assignments.
• Operates kitchen equipment safely and reports issues promptly.
