Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The Concessions Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Portion control, food waste, and sanitation are additional areas that the Cook must be aware of while operating in the kitchen.

This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00-$18.00.

This position will remain open until August 8, 2025.

About the Venue

Baseball is back in Columbus! Synovus Park will be located in downtown Columbus, GA, and will be the home of the Columbus Clingstones, a MiLB affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. This inaugural season, Synovus Park will host 69 professional baseball games.

Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for cooking and packaging food products that are prepared to order or kept warm until sold.
  2. Receives verbal orders from the front counter staff for food product requirements for guest orders.
  3. Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items.
  4. Food must be fresh and of high quality when served to the guests.
  5. Responsible for portion control and serving temperatures of all products served in the concession stand.
  6. Responsible for cleaning, stocking, and restocking of workstations and displays.
  7. Responsible for operating large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, fryers, and ovens.
  8. Ensures that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away, and the floor is swept and mopped at the end of each shift.
  9. The Concessions Cook must be checked out by a supervisor before ending the shift to ensure the concession area meets cleanliness standards.
  10. Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  11. Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
Qualifications
  1. The ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that generates a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  2. Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  3. Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  4. Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
