Position Overview:

The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items using various cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The role requires adherence to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction, with attention to portion control, food waste, and sanitation.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers an hourly rate of $13.00-$18.00. Benefits for part-time roles include a 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. The position remains open until August 8, 2025.

Location and Context:

Located in downtown Columbus, GA, Synovus Park is the new home of the Columbus Clingstones, a MiLB affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. The inaugural season features 69 professional baseball games.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and package food items to order or keep warm until sold.
2. Receive verbal orders from front counter staff.
3. Maintain quality and production standards for all menu items.
4. Ensure food is fresh and of high quality when served.
5. Manage portion control and serving temperatures.
6. Clean, stock, and restock workstations and displays.
7. Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, fryers, and ovens.
8. Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of all work areas and utensils.
9. Ensure all safety and sanitation standards are met.
10. Complete shift checkouts with a supervisor to ensure standards are maintained.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work well in a team and in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by regulations.
• Demonstrated excellent attendance.
