Job summary

Cardiff Seaside Market is seeking a diligent team member for the cuisine department. You will support day-to-day operations, handle dishwashing and basic prep, and assist with stock rotation while following store rules and safety guidelines.

Summary: Assist in the day-to-day activities in the cuisine department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operating commercial dishwashers or washing delicate items by hand using a three-compartment sink;
• Sorting and storing clean dishes, utensils, and cookware in their proper places;
• Maintaining kitchen sanitation by sweeping, mopping floors, and taking out the trash;
• Rotates product and stocks product;
• Operates meat and cheese slicers, oven, fryers, BBQ's, microwave, cutting tools and other deli equipment;
• Assist with basic prep, such as peeling, slicing, cutting vegetables;
• Other duties as assigned;
• Observe all store rules and company policies;
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations;
• Follow safety guidelines when working, especially when lifting, using cutting tools, large machinery, ladders, stretch and take breaks when performing repetitive motions, etc;
• Follow health guidelines to ensure safe product is provided to our customers;
• Knowledge of Weight & Measure Laws.

Education/Experience:
