Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Biloxi is hiring a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) to support inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care through assessment, individual and group therapy, and collaborative treatment planning.

You will document services in the medical record, participate on the treatment team, and ensure care adheres to Joint Commission, federal and state regulations while engaging patients and families in care decisions.

Qualifications

• Direct therapeutic recreation therapy services per Joint Commission and state regulations.
• Plan and conduct individual and group therapy as ordered.
• Complete required paperwork within 72 hours of admission.
• Documentation of services in the medical record.
• Engage with patients and families in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapeutic recreation therapy services in a timely fashion.
• Plan and conduct individual and group therapy sessions as assigned.
• Complete required documentation within 72 hours of admission.
• Document in medical records the services rendered.
• Participate as a team member and report patient progress.
