Job summary

GSK is seeking a CTO Functional Strategy Manager to shape the DPTF function strategy, aligning digital priorities with architecture and domain leadership. You will co-create the north star vision and translate it into actionable objectives, OKRs, and governance across the organization.

You will engage senior leaders, scan the market for evolving tech, and ensure the strategy remains coherent with GSK's overall technology roadmap, while incorporating AI-driven research and delivery priorities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in strategy, technology strategy, consulting, operating model design or a comparable planning role.
• Experience developing functional or business strategy within a large and complex organisation.
• Experience translating enterprise strategy into objectives and OKRs for a function.
• Experience synthesizing complex and incomplete information into a clear position for leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the DPTF functional strategy translating GSK's priorities into what the function needs to be and do.
• Co-create the north star vision for DPTF with the Chief Architect and leadership so the destination is shared.
• Align the functional strategy to the technology strategy and roadmap owned by the Chief Architect.
• Scan market and state of the art in technology and operating models and bring relevant insights into the strategy.
• Translate strategy into functional objectives and OKRs and maintain planning cadence.
• Assess major initiatives against the north star and raise misalignments through governance.
• Communicate DPTF's strategy to leadership and produce clear, credible materials.
• Engage leaders across GSK to align strategy with needs and feed requirements back into planning.
• Facilitate strategy workshops and leadership reviews with architecture and domain leads.
• Develop strategic recommendations and briefing materials for senior leaders.
• Embed reliability and AI acceleration ambitions into the strategy and initiative selection.
• Use AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis and strategy material production.
