Job summary

ActAI seeks a Chief Technology Officer to own technology strategy, architecture and engineering standards across the Group. This role operates across multiple businesses while staying close to systems, architecture and execution.

You will lead major architectural decisions, review critical systems, and establish standards for reliability, security, performance and testing. You will recruit and mentor senior engineering leaders to build world-class teams.

Qualifications

• Deep software engineering background with production systems experience.
• Strong knowledge of backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud infra and distributed systems.
• Experience making architecture decisions across multiple products or teams.
• Strong technical judgement and ability to challenge engineering decisions at implementation level.
• Capable of building world-class engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and major technical decisions across group products and platforms.
• Review critical systems, architecture, infrastructure and code directly.
• Set engineering standards across reliability, security, performance, testing and code quality.
• Identify technical debt and architecture constraints and drive their resolution.
• Improve engineering productivity, development speed and production reliability.
• Decide where technology and infrastructure should be shared across Group businesses.
• Recruit and assess senior engineers, technical leads and engineering leaders.
