C5MI Insights LLC. is seeking a CTO Engineer III to lead the analysis, design, and delivery of multi-system prototypes and demonstrations. You will drive architecture, select tools, and guide CTO Engineer II staff in building scalable, secure digital core solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, client-facing delivery, and collaboration with stakeholders to meet program goals. A strong background in IT/OT integration, cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0 is required, with willingness to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Electrical, Mechanical or related field with 3–5 years of industry experience, OR no degree with 5–7 years of experience.
Experience delivering solutions with low-code/no-code platforms, vibe-coding, and AI-assisted development.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and systems administration, including multi-system integration.
Proficiency in two or more programming languages and software development methodologies, including code review practices.
Working with cloud platforms, virtualization technologies, and data management.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and security-by-design practices.
Experience with Agile/Scrum and project management practices.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet program deadlines.
Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to obtain/maintain US government clearance (US citizenship).

Responsibilities

Applies advanced systems analysis techniques to evaluate complex requirements and define functional specs across multiple integrated systems.
Drives design, documentation, and development of proof-of-concept solutions and prototypes.
Leads creation of prototypes and customer showcases demonstrating digital systems and data products.
Authors and reviews design docs, interface specs, and test results for reusable patterns.
Defines functional/interface specs for CPS-to-backend connectivity across systems.
Designs, develops, tests, and modifies integration services/APIs and data flows.
Expands and maintains the lab environment for demonstrations and playbooks.
Improves automated provisioning/configuration with scripts, IaC, CI/CD.
Leads troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to improve stability and security.
Develops software modules and prototype applications with appropriate languages/frameworks.
Applies AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development while maintaining design ownership.
Integrates physical and software sensors into cyber-physical demos across systems.
Supports security-by-design practices and cybersecurity policy implementation.
Leads prototype/demonstration delivery for internal client engagements.
Willingness to travel up to 25% to locations as needed.
Follows certified processes and protects sensitive information per policy.
Performs related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
