Job description

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Vice President of Engineering / CTO to join our client’s team in Melbourne, FL. This is an onsite (Direct Hire) position.

SALARY: $200k-$250k base, equity and bonus TBD (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 3+ years leading engineering teams (more is better)
• Connected device / IoT experience
• Proven leadership spanning hardware, firmware, software, and cloud-connected platforms
• Electromechanical systems background
• Change management experience with organizational buy-in
• Skilled in hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering talent

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and hold accountable the entire engineering organization
• Drive engineering execution, delivery, culture, morale, and accountability
• Act as a bridge between executive leadership and engineering teams
• Build and improve engineering processes and operating systems
• Own project schedules, prioritization, and execution
• Partner with the CEO on product strategy and execution
• Collaborate with patent attorneys on patent development and prosecution
• Hire and oversee cloud connectivity and data platform teams
