The day-to-day blends hands-on technical leadership with boardroom strategy, moving fluidly between architecture reviews, budget planning, and mentoring engineering leaders. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of technology and business, is energized by building high-performing teams, and has a track record of translating ambitious product roadmaps into scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $210,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company technology strategy in alignment with business goals
• Lead, mentor, and scale the engineering, architecture, and IT organizations
• Oversee software architecture decisions and technology stack selection
• Partner with the CEO and executive team on product and business strategy
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes
• Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and infrastructure investments
• Drive cybersecurity strategy and ensure data privacy and compliance standards
• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential business impact
• Oversee cloud infrastructure strategy, scalability, and system reliability
• Represent the technology function to investors, partners, and customers

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including executive roles
• Proven track record leading and scaling engineering teams of 30 or more
• Deep expertise in modern software architecture, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices
• Experience setting technology strategy that supports rapid business growth
• Strong background in cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to boards and investors
• History of successful product launches and platform scaling initiatives
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
• MBA or advanced technical degree preferred
