Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a CTL Lab Manager to lead the FACT‑accredited stem cell processing lab within the Cellular Therapy Laboratory, coordinating with the CTL, transplant division, oncology, and other clinical teams.

The role supervises about five staff, overseeing cryopreservation and depletion procedures, and supporting logistics for commercial gene therapies while driving quality improvement and budget management.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Biology or a related science (Required).
• 10 years related experience (Required).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of the FACT-accredited SCP portion of the CTL.
• Liaise between the CTL, stem cell transplantation division, oncology, and other clinical teams.
• Oversee and perform clinical stem cell processing such as cryopreservation, TCR alpha/beta and CD19 depletion, and RBC depletion.
• Manage logistics supporting commercial gene therapies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and budgeting.
• Onboard and train new and existing staff; report to program leadership.
