Job summary

Comfort Temp Company is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Technician for Orlando, FL. You will service and install commercial HVAC equipment across the area, read wiring diagrams, and perform start-ups with precision to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years turning wrenches on commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• All required permits/licenses for HVAC and refrigeration work.
• Attention to detail to identify issues before callbacks.
• Clear, direct communication with crew and customers.
• Ability read electrical/mechanical plans and wiring diagrams.
• Willingness for some extended-day travel.

Responsibilities

• Service and install commercial HVAC equipment in Orlando.
• Run control wiring and perform start-ups.
• Inspect and dial in new equipment to ensure right first time.
• Reclaim, recover, and charge refrigerant correctly.
• Solder and braze copper piping; install condensation lines.
• Keep truck organized and stocked.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and fix them.

Each year, we sponsor around 20 employees through the Santa Fe College HVAC Apprentice Program so they can earn a 4 year HVAC or Plumbing Apprenticeship Certificate. These Team members work full time for our company and make a commitment to the 4 year program by attending classes 2 days a week for 4 years.

Comfort Temp also houses many in-house training opportunities to support our team’s growth in the trade taught by senior staff or certified instructors with plans to launch our own Comfort Academy Training Program by the end of 2024! The Job

Big buildings. Big systems. Big problems that need someone who actually knows what they're doing. You'll service and install commercial HVAC equipment across Orlando — the kind of work that separates a real technician from a guy who just swaps filters.

What You'll Do

• Service and install commercial HVAC equipment
• Run control wiring and start-ups like you've done it a thousand times — because you have
• Inspect and dial in new equipment so it's right the first time, every time
• Reclaim, recover, and charge refrigerant the right way
• Solder and braze copper piping; run PVC for condensation lines
• Keep your truck stocked and squared away — no digging through chaos to find your gear
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and actually fix them, not just flag them

What You Bring

• 5+ years turning wrenches on commercial refrigeration and HVAC — or equivalent training that proves it
• All required permits/licenses for HVAC and refrigeration work
• An eye for detail sharp enough to catch a problem before it becomes a callback
• Straight-shooter communication — with your crew and your customers
• Fluency in electrical and mechanical plans and wiring diagrams — no translator needed
• Willingness for some extended-day travel — comfort zones are overrated
