Job summary

Aldersgate Special Needs Ministry is seeking a CTHII House Manager to oversee operations of the residence, ensure safety and adherence to policies, budgets, and regulatory standards. The role requires supervisory experience and a degree in a human service field.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) and reports to the Residential Director. Salary starts at $40,000–$42,000 annually with exempt status and 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Must possess an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related Human Service field.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Organized, responsive, analytical, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes policies and procedures for total resident care, personnel, medical needs, etc. as required by policies and standards.
  • Ensures training in policies and procedures to staff, residents, visitors, and family members.
  • Conducts a monthly QA review to cover licensure and certification.
  • Responsible for all financial activities and responsibilities of residents of the managed home, including accounts and budgeting.
  • Supervises direct care staff, including evaluations, timesheets, and coordination with HR.
  • Provides supervision of all staff and conducts in-service training.
  • Ensures staff are up-to-date on personnel requirements.
  • Creates a personal and safe, home-like environment for residents.
  • Ensures operation within OIDD and licensing standards.
  • Prepares annual budget and reviews monthly reports with analysis.
  • Maintains home within budget categories (overtime, supplies, salaries, etc.).
  • Attends meetings and documents plans of care and progress notes.
  • Maintains relationships with colleagues and other agencies.
  • Completes admission/discharge paperwork and appropriate documentation.
  • Responds to surveys and ensures safety and compliance.

Position Summary

The CTHII House Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising all activities within the residence and providing a safe, secure, home‑like environment. The CTHII House Manager is also responsible for ensuring compliance with the budget, agency policies and directives, OIDD standards, and federal, state, and local standards and regulations.

Position Responsibilities- Essential
  • Establishes policies and procedures pertaining to total resident care, personnel, medical needs, etc. as required by policies and standards.
  • Ensures training in policies and procedures to the staff, residents, visitors, and family members.
  • Consistently reviews compliance of the home with established policies and procedures for the residence. Conducts a monthly QA review as trained and established by supervisor to cover all aspects of licensure and certification.
  • Responsible for all financial activities and responsibilities of residents of the managed home, including checking accounts, savings accounts, fees, and other financial interactions. Responsible for following proper accounting procedures with the resident accounts. This duty shall not be delegated to other staff.
  • Supervises direct care staff assigned to the home, including evaluations, time sheets, and works with the Human Resources and Training Manager regarding hiring, firing, disciplinary actions, and personnel policies and directives.
  • Provides supervision of all staff.
  • Participates in and conducts in‑service training for staff and works with the Human Resources and Training Manager to ensure staff are properly trained and that training is properly documented.
  • Ensures, in conjunction with the Human Resources and Training Manager, that all staff are up‑to‑date on personnel requirements.
  • Creates a personal and safe, home‑like environment for residents.
  • Ensures the home/facility operates within established standards of OIDD and other licensing certifying agencies and requirements.
  • Prepares annual budget and reviews monthly reports and provides analysis.
  • Ensures the home/facility operates within the established budget categories (i.e. overtime, household supplies, salary, food, habilitation/recreation supplies, etc.).
  • Attends Team Conferences, Psychotropic Drug Review, called Team Meetings, and completes proper documentation of all meetings relevant to the plan of care.
  • Completes monthly progress notes for residents and maintains appropriate levels of information and interaction with families.
  • Maintains harmonious working relationships with colleagues and staff within the agency and other agencies in the community.
  • Completes and maintains proper admission and discharge paperwork.
  • Responsible for taking all corrective action on surveys, internal and external, including follow‑up on fire drills and other requirements.
  • Responsible for taking all immediate actions to ensure the safety and freedom from harm of all individuals/residents.
  • Provides services, training, and coordination to meet the needs of each individual/resident.
  • Maintains individuals' financial plans and ensures they are followed.
  • Ensures proper posting and following of menus, activity schedules, outings, etc.
  • Ensure safety, comfort, and proper maintenance, as well as general cleanliness of the home.
  • Participates in Quality Enhancement Process to provide as much person‑centered planning and outcome as possible.
  • Remains knowledgeable regarding current Medicaid/Medicare requirements and policies pertaining to the individuals and operation of the home.
  • Supervises the delivery of each resident's residential plan of care.
  • Reviews client records on a regular basis, as required, ensuring proper counseling/habilitation, behavior incident reports, accident/incident reports, medication administration records, and other documents are properly recorded, reported, and brought to an acceptable conclusion.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Must possess an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related Human Service field as approved by ASNM (psychology, education, social work, counseling, etc.)
  • Must have at least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong (effective, clear, and proactive) verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, responsive, analytical, and attentive to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
  • Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain appropriate level of confidentiality.
