Responsibilities

  • Ensure staff are trained and comfortable in their roles and maintain health and safety of each individual at all times.
  • Write goals/objectives with Degreed Professional Manager and track progress.
  • Attend appointments with individuals and manage scheduling and coverage.
  • Submit doctor’s orders for medication changes and ensure MARs are up to date monthly.
  • Collect monthly/daily data and complete required paperwork for each individual.
  • Assist with payroll by ensuring accurate timekeeping and leave requests.
  • Foster an environment of respect and empowerment in the home and provide corrective action when needed.
  • Be on call for staff, guardians, and DPM; coordinate with nursing staff for visits and delegations.
  • Oversee scheduling, shift trades, overtime with DPM approval, and ensure team collaboration.

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:TheHouse Manageris responsible forcreating andmaintaininga safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment in the hometofoster growthin the individual’s home.The HouseManager’smain roleis to provide modeling, support, and supervision forDirectSupportProfessionalsworking in the home to ensure they provideappropriate servicesfocusing on the unique needs ofeach individualserved.TheHouse Managerwillbe expected to be available on-calland responsiveand to serve asaDirectSupportProfessionalwhen needed.The House Managerwill have to work 16or more hoursof direct carein the home before overtimewill beapproved.The House Managerwillbe familiar with the unique needs ofeach individualsupported, ensuring thatDirectSupportProfessionalsare effectively meeting those needs, andnotifyingDPM/COO/CEO/Ownerof any concernsregardingabilities to do soin a timely manner.

Duties:
  • Ensure that all staff are trained and comfortable in their roles (direct care,documentation, etc.), and toensure the health and safety of each individual at all times. Problem solving and providing support when needed for staff and individuals served, training staff on individual’s ISP goals/objectives and ensuring follow through working on said goals/objectives foreach individual.
  • Work withDegreed Professional Manager (DPM)to writegoals/objectivesas neededand track daily progress.
  • Attend appointments as needed with individuals, staying familiar with needs and follow up timelines, ensure they are scheduled within timeline needed, ensure coverage, delegating to assistant manager/ lead staff as needed and ensuring completion.
  • Submit doctor’s orders for any medication changes to designatedadministrativeteam member within required time frame for all individuals on caseload or inform that there are no changes, ensure all homes have MAR foreach individualsupported by the first of each month to ensure appropriate documentation.
  • Work withDPMon NAFs requests, gathering information needed for NAFs requests asasked.
  • Complete monthly/daily data collection,census,ensureindividual books are up todateand all monthly paperwork is completed.
  • Ensurethat staffcompletesquality,daily documentation.
  • Track and order medications/medical supplies as needed and ensure individuals’ needs are met, review MARs onregularbasis and ensure accurateness and completeness and address any issues/additional training needed/medication errors.
  • Spend time with individualsserved weeklyand complete required documentation.
  • Work withDPM/HRon hiring and training ofnew staff. Complete new employee checklist ensuring all needed documentation is onfileand all needed training is complete.
  • Ensure that calendars of activities, outings, etc. are being made collectively by staff and individuals, coordinate/oversee use of thevehiclefor these and appointments.
  • Report any DMH Reportable events toDPMimmediatelyandmaintainregular communication withDPMregardingindividuals/home. Also report any problematic behaviors to DPMimmediatelyor within 24 hours.
  • Ensure completion of monthly safety checklist and drills as required by DMH.
  • Create and manage staff scheduling, manage time off requests, be primary contact for call-ins, shift trades, etc. and run overtime through approval ofDPMbefore approving (working with DPMon scheduling).
  • Work with staff and Community RNs to ensure requirements for visits are met, review documentation, ensureallnursing delegations are completedin a timely manner, all requests made in monthly reviews are met in the following month.
  • Foster an environment of respect and individual empowerment in the home, providing support, and when needed, corrective action (working with director) to enable staff to provide excellent careon a dailybasisin the home.
  • Be on call toDirectSupportProfessionals/Guardians/DPM so that allsupportsneededforindividuals’ needsaremetandbeavailablein person if necessary.
  • Assistwith payroll by ensuring hourly employees' compliance withaccuratetime keeping and ETO requests.
  • Complete other duties/tasks asaskedbyDPM/COO/CEO/Owner.Duties may include aworkloadfor the sister company,Mid-Missouri Supported Living.
Qualifications

  • Ability to lift over 50lbsand sit/stand for prolonged periods.
  • Valid driving licenseandproof of personal automotive insurance if transporting individuals in personal vehicle.
  • Ability to complete all agency required training and certifications within90 daysof hire (CPR/First Aid certification, Level One Med Aid Certification, Abuse/Neglect training, etc.) as required byagency andDMH.
