Job summary

Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation in Nespelem, Washington seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for an on-call, non-exempt position. You must be prepared to report within one hour of notification and provide daily resident care as directed by nursing leadership.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, CNA certification, CPR/First Aid, and a TB test. You will work within the long-term care setting observing resident rights and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED and 6–12 months of experience.
• Must hold current Nursing Assistant Certified (CNA).
• Requires current First Aid/CPR certification and ability to perform CPR.
• TB test required with negative result or within 15 days of employment.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to lift/move at least 50 pounds to 3 feet and 50 feet.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care and services per resident assessment and care plan.
• Follow directions from DNS or Charge Nurse and ensure resident safety.
• Report any changes in resident condition promptly and accurately.

Short Notice position is an on-call role, and applicants must be prepared to report to work within one hour of receiving notification. Provides each resident with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment, care plan and as directed by the DNS or Charge Nurse.QualificationsEducation and Training:Requires a High School diploma OR GED AND six (6) to twelve (12) months of experience.Requires a Current certificate as a Nursing Assistant Certified.Requires a Current 1st Aid/CPR certification and be able to perform CPR.Requires a TB Test as a condition of employment with a negative result or obtain test within 15 days of employment.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Requires basic knowledge of a long-term care setting.Requires knowledge of how to identify resident abuse and neglect, and to report any resident abuse and /or neglect to the Abuse hotline as is mandated.Requires knowledge of resident’s rights.Requires the ability to read, write, and understand the English language.Requires the ability to relate clear and concise information concerning a resident’s condition.Requires the ability to perform assigned duties independently and with supervision.Requires the ability to push, pull move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull move and /or carry said weight a minimum of 50 feet.Requires the ability to work well as a member of the health care team.Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing.
