Job summary

Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare in Staunton, VA is seeking a certified Career & Technical Education (CTE) Teacher for Liberty Point Academy. This full‑time role offers a comprehensive benefits package, sign‑on bonuses, and a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.

You will teach in an on‑campus school serving youth with complex educational needs, following IEP/IPP goals, and contributing to a trauma‑informed program that supports positive growth and skill development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
• Current Virginia or out‑of‑state teaching license in SPED or General Curriculum K‑12, or Technical Professional License.
• 3+ years of classroom experience preferred.
• VA Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising, instructing, and evaluating students in vocational areas (gardening, drafting, woodworking, landscaping, etc.).
• Develop and implement projects for a balanced program of instruction with demonstrations and work time.
• Provide pre‑vocational training to enhance vocational skills and guide students with appropriate examples and support.
• Instruct and monitor safety and use of equipment; prevent injuries and damages.
• Deliver instruction aligned with IEP/IPP goals and Liberty Point practices.
• Implement Behavioral Program and adjust strategies with the treatment team to maximize success.
• Assess academic achievement regularly and adjust instructional planning to maximize outcomes.
• Maintain communications with staff, parents/guardians, and local education agencies; document progress and complete reports.
