Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking Career and Technical Education teachers for grades 8–12 to deliver rigorous CTE coursework aligned to state standards. You will plan, deliver, and assess engaging instruction while tracking student progress and communicating with families weekly.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction; ability to manage students and behavior.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations for CTE coursework.
• Deliver relevant content and grade level objectives; use texts effectively.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Assess student progress and adjust plans; maintain weekly gradebook updates.
• Communicate student progress to families on a weekly basis.
• Lead with technology as a learning and communication tool to boost achievement.
