Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks IDEA Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers to instruct 8th–12th grade students across multiple career clusters. The role emphasizes rigorous instruction, data-informed planning, and active family communication within IDEA's values.

The compensation includes a starting salary of $59,500 with stipends for certifications and leadership, plus after-hours tutoring pay and a robust benefits package. Candidates must meet state requirements and have a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting is strongly preferred.
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations for CTE coursework.
• Deliver relevant content and grade level objectives; plan and grade student work.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly and maintain gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Support a productive classroom environment and foster positive behavior.
