Job summary

Fcstn is seeking a qualified teacher in Winchester, TN to instruct students using lecture, demonstrations, and audiovisual aids for the remainder of the 2026-27 school year.

You will prepare outlines, assign lessons, administer tests, keep attendance records, and report progress to parents while maintaining safety and classroom discipline. Collaboration with faculty and community partners is expected.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in subject matter, using various teaching methods such as lecture and demonstration, and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations
• Prepare teaching outline for course of study, assign lessons and correct homework papers
• Administer tests to evaluate students' progress, record results, and issue reports to inform parents of progress
• Keep accurate attendance records
• Maintain discipline in classroom and in school yard
• Participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops
• Maintain up-to-date class/shop inventory records
• Maintain shop and class equipment in a safe and workable condition
• Keep financial records consistent with school board policy and the Tennessee State Financial Management Manual
• Is able to perform the task that he/she teaches
• Is able to comply with established industry standards
• Is able to work with students, associates, parents, community groups, and business/industry personnel in a cooperative and professional manner
• Ensure that students are instructed in the safe and proper use of equipment and monitors their use
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned
