Qualifications

• Alaska Teaching certificate with an endorsement in a CTE field preferred.
• Minimum Alaska Type M certification in area of CTE required or ability to obtain within timeframe.
• Knowledge & experience with culturally safe and responsive practices preferred.
• Knowledge & experience in trauma engaged practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with CTE Director and Manager in program development.
• Create an authentic, consistent, strength-based culturally safe instructional environment.
• Collaborate with staff, students, families, and community to plan and implement instruction.
• Encourage and support a Grow Your Own career path for middle and high school students.
• Maintain relationships with North Slope entities to meet student and eight-community needs.
