Job summary

Snohomish School District seeks a paraeducator to support the elementary education process under the direction of the building administrator and classroom teacher. Responsibilities include assisting in the Family and Consumer Science program, shopping, stocking materials, lab organization, and lunch supervision.

The position is a 6-hour shift from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a 9-month calendar and 10 paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or equivalent and one of the listed options.
• Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher.
• Upon hire, complete the FCS-Paraeducator Certificate.
• Upon hire, obtain First Aid CPR certification.
• Ability to meet listed qualifications as described in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Support the elementary educational process under supervision.
• Provide CTE program support and assist in Family and Consumer Science with materials.
• Organize labs, prep/tear down, and supervise lunch when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
