Job summary

Lansing School District is seeking a CTE Administrator to lead the daily operations of its Career and Technical Education programs, including field trips and work-based learning opportunities at the Hill Center. The role requires a Michigan teaching certificate, state administrator certification, and a track record of district-level leadership.

The candidate will guide curriculum, manage budgets, and partner with Eaton RESA and Ingham ISD to advance college and career readiness across K-12,

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Teaching, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or other CTE related field preferred.
  • Five (5) years of successful teaching experience and two (2) years of administrative experience preferred.
  • Meets Michigan licensure criteria including valid teaching certificate and administrator certification.

Responsibilities

  • Adopt school routines and expectations to support instructional outcomes and student growth.
  • Provide administrative support to CTE students and staff, ensuring policy implementation.
  • Serve as primary administrator for daily operation of Hill Center CTE programs and related activities.
  • Ensure CTE programs are rigorous, relevant, and aligned with state/federal guidelines and district goals.
  • Develop, implement and manage assigned CTE budgets and purchasing procedures.
  • Build partnerships with Eaton RESA, Ingham ISD and local business to support pathways.
