Job summary

North Slope Borough School District is seeking a CTE Instructor to guide students in acquiring basic skills and career pathways. Instruction is individualized, adjusting to learning styles and pacing with frequent assessments.

Under the leadership of the CTE Director, the instructor will collaborate with staff, families, and the community to sustain authentic, strength-based instruction and grow local career opportunities.

Qualifications

• Alaska teaching certificate with CTE endorsement preferred.
• Type M CTE certification or ability to obtain within timeframe.
• Experience with culturally safe and trauma-informed practices.

Responsibilities

• Consult with CTE Director and Manager on program development.
• Create a strong, culturally safe learning environment for students.
• Support Grow Your Own career paths for middle and high school students.
• Collaborate with North Slope entities to meet student and community needs.
• Participate in district and program committees; align with strategic goals.
