Job summary

ACTE is seeking a CTE Teacher to support the instructional process in a high school setting in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on supervising students, delivering curriculum-aligned instruction, and developing engaging lesson plans within a collaborative school environment.

The candidate will collaborate with teachers and administrators, manage classroom activities, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians about student progress and program goals.

• Supervises students within the classroom and other assigned areas.
• Develops lesson plans and delivers group and individual instruction within established curriculum guidelines.
• Collaborates with other teachers, professional staff, and administrators on instructional and classroom issues.
• Responds to inquiries from students’ parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.

Job description

The job of CTE Teacher was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students’ parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.

Exercise Therapy & Sports Science

This program provides both theoretical and clinical components designed to prepare high school students for post-secondary education and multiple career pathways in the following fields of study: sports medicine, athletic training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, fitness training and nutrition.

Certification and License requirements:

A current license/certification by the PA Department of State in one of the following areas:

• Athletic Trainer
• Registered Nurse
• Physical Therapist
• Physical Therapy Assistant
• Occupational Therapist
• Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Appropriate certificate as directed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (Note: Minimum four years of full-time, wage-earning work experience is required prior to employment and certification)
