Job summary

QAVTC is seeking a Construction Instructor to teach grades 9-12 in a school setting. The position requires strong construction experience and solid knowledge of safety practices, tools, and materials used in construction projects.

The candidate must hold an IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Technology Education endorsement or be able to obtain one with CTE eligibility. Applicants should have relevant work experience outside of education and meet licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid IL PEL (secondary level) with endorsement in Technology Education; OR ability to obtain IL Educator License w/Stipulations for CTE.
• CTE licensing requirements: 60 sem hours of college credit from regionally accredited institution and minimum of 2,000 hours of related work experience outside of education (construction).
• OR less than 60 sem hours and a minimum of 8,000 hours of related work experience outside of education in construction.
