Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is hiring Career and Technical Education teachers for grades 8-12 to deliver rigorous CTE coursework across clusters such as Agriculture, IT, Health Science and more. You will align instruction with state standards, track progress, and engage families in student achievement.

The role involves planning, data-driven instruction, weekly lesson plans, and after-school tutoring as needed. IDEA emphasizes a strong learning environment, equity, and student college success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
• K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred
• State certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments
• Deliver relevant content and grade level objectives and texts
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback
• Assess and track each student’s progress and adjust accordingly
• Communicate students’ progress with families on a weekly basis
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives
• Spend 40+ hours per week at school and support tutoring sessions as needed
