Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers school secondary curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Promotes a safe classroom environment conducive to individualized and small group instruction.
• Develops lesson plans and translates plans into learning experiences.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and adjusts methods as needed.
• Instructs students in citizenship and other required subjects.
• Engages in ongoing professional learning through seminars or research.
• Maintains accurate records of grading and attendance per district procedures.
• Encourages parental involvement and effective communication with students and parents.
• Ensures student conduct aligns with school standards and district policies.
• Coordinates with other staff to evaluate and improve curriculum and participates in meetings.
• Selects and requisitions instructional materials and maintains inventory.
• Administers standardized tests per district programs.
