Qualifications

• Ability to design and implement curriculum that aligns with district goals.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers school curriculum aligned with district goals and objectives.
• Promotes a safe classroom environment conducive to individualized and small group instruction.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates them into learning experiences.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and adapts methods to fit student needs.
• Instructs students in responsible citizenship and required subject matter.
• Pursues ongoing professional knowledge through seminars or research.
• Maintains accurate records for student achievement and attendance as required by district policy.
• Encourages parental involvement and communicates effectively with students and parents.
• Ensures student behavior aligns with school standards and district policies.
• Collaborates with other teachers to evaluate and improve curriculum.
• Selects and requisitions books and supplies and maintains inventory.
• Administers standardized tests per district testing programs.
